National Institute of Technology Calicut, formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a public technical university and an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. The campus is situated 22 kilometres north east of Kozhikode, on the Kozhikode–Mukkam Road. The National Institute of Technology Calicut, also known as NITC was established in the year 1961 as Calicut Regional Engineering College (CREC) at Chathamangalam, nearly 22 kilometers away from Kozhikode. The institute offers bachelors, masters and degree programmes in different streams of Science, Engineering, Technology, and Management. The undergraduate courses offered include B.Tech in various engineering fields and B.Arch. The list of postgraduate courses includes M.Tech, M.Sc. MCA, MBA, and M.Plan. MBA

• Qualifying level: CAT exam
• Eligibility:- Any graduate with a 50% aggregate

M.Plan

• Eligibility:- Candidates must have passed in Graduation + GATE exam
• Selection: Merit secured in GATE exam and CCMT Counselling

M.Sc

• Eligibility:- Candidates must have passed in graduation + IIT JAM exam
• Selection: Merit secured in IIT JAM exam followed by CCMN Counselling

M.C.A

• Eligibility:-Candidates must have completed graduation from a recognized university with 60% marks.

NIT Calicut Admission Process for MBA Programme

• Candidates have to appear for CAT and apply for admission at NIT Calicut

• Upon shortlisting, candidates will be invited for Group Discussion and Interview

• Final selection is subjected to the performance in Group Discussion and Interview

NIT Calicut Admission Process for M.Tech/M.Plan Programmes

• Candidates need to appear for GATE and register and appear for CCMT counselling

• Shortlisting will be done through CCMT counselling based on GATE ranking

• The institute will make final selection on the basis of GATE score
