The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) will conduct Bihar Polytechnic 2024 examination to select the candidates for admission in different diploma certificate programmes offered by the colleges in the state of Bihar. Bihar Polytechnic 2024 Exam is a state level entrance exam which is organized for providing admission to students in different polytechnic courses offered by various colleges and institutions of the state Bihar.

After completion of online application process applicant needs to wait for admit card for Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination. If once issued of admit card on official portal then needs to appear for examination. Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination syllabus will be on the basis of 10th standard. Finally selected candidate will through interview to take admission in selected Polytechnic college.

How to Apply

Step 1: Visit Bihar Polytechnic official website.
Step 2: Click on the “DCECE 2024 Online Application Portal (PE/PPE/PM/PPM)” link on the first page.
Step 3: Click on the “Apply Online” link to open the application portal.
Step 4: Enter the email ID and password, and click the “Login” button.
Step 5: Once logged in, the form-filled details will be displayed.
Step 6: Click “Edit Application Form” near the end of the page. Step 7: Enter the correct details.

Bihar Polytechnic 2024 Exam Pattern

The examination will be conducted on a computer based test (CBT). The medium of examination can be chosen by the candidate from Hindi and English. Candidates will be provided with 2 hours 15 Minutes to complete the examination. A total of 90 questions will be asked. 5 marks will be provided for ever right answer and no negative marks for wrong answer. The examination pattern for Bihar Polytechnic entrance examination is as follows-

• Mode- Bihar Polytechnic exam will occur by offline
• Language- There will only be two languages on the exam paper.
• Duration– The exam consists of 2 hours and 15 minutes
• Total Marks– In the exam, aspirants will get to attempt overall 450 questions.
• Negative Marking– No negative marking applies to give an incorrect response.
• Duration of Exam: The examination will be of 135 minutes long.
• Total Questions: The question paper will consist of a total of 90 multiple-choice questions.
• Total Marks: The examination will be of 450 marks.
• Marking Scheme: For one correct answer, five marks will be awarded to the candidates.
• -ve Marking: There is no negative marking.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar Polytechnic 2024

For the PE Programs (Polytechnic Engineering):

• All the candidates must be having permanent citizenship of India.
• Students must have a state-approved certificate, which can authenticate their residence of Bihar.
• To get enrolled in the PE program, one must have passed class 10^th from a center or state-recognized university with a minimum of 35 % of marks.

For the PPE Programs (Part-Time Polytechnic Engineering):

• Candidates must have at least 50 % marks in Science and Math in the secondary exam with at least 3 years of working experience.
• Aspirants must have at least 50 % of marks in Science and Math in the secondary exam with one year of work experience and 2 years of ITI.
• All the candidates must have at least 50 % marks in Mathematics and Science in the secondary exam with 2 years of working experience and 1 year of ITI.

For PMD course (Para Medical-Dental (Matric Level):

• Candidate must pass the 10th or its equivalent passed with physics, chemistry, biology, and English subjects.

Bihar Polytechnic Admit Card has been released and is available from May 2024 for the polytechnic exams to be conducted on  May 2024.  Only candidates who have filled the application form and paid the application fee can able to download the Bihar Polytechnic admit card. The Polytechnic Bihar exam is for admission into Diploma (Engineering /Non-Engineering) polytechnic program offered by various Institutes.
