DJSCE is an Autonomous Institution, granted autonomy by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of 10 years, starting from the A.Y. 2019-20 till 2028-29. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited DJSCE . The college runs 8 undergraduate programmes, 3 post graduate programmes and 3 Ph.D. courses, permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai. All the undergraduate programs are accredited by National Board of Accreditation. Our students have performed exceedingly well in national and globally competent multinational companies and also in the universities in India and abroad as they pursue their higher education. The College has a total built-up area of 22862 sq.m. Institution’s infrastructure is one of the best in town which includes a Wi-Fi equipped library, air-conditioned classrooms, a gymnasium, gymkhana and a conference room. Laboratories are maintained upto the mark; atleast as compared to the rest of the engineering colleges in the city. The college lacks a campus and in-hostel facility.

Candidates must have passed intermediate examination of Maharashtra HSC Board or 10+2 level, examination or its equivalent with compulsory subjects (Physics & Mathematics), and one of the optional subjects (Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology) OR passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination
