Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology Surat, is a public technical university established by the Parliament of India in 1961. It is one of 31 National Institutes of Technology in India recognized by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance. Vission “To be a globally accepted centre of excellence in technical education catalyzing absorption, innovation, diffusion and transfer of high technologies resulting in enhanced quality for all the stake holders”. It was named after the first home minister of India who was also a well-known freedom fighter and fondly known as the Ironman of India, the honorable Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The institute was established in the year 1961 as a cooperative venture between the Government of India and the Government of Gujarat. SVNIT Surat has B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc and PhD courses. SVNIT Surat alumni are one of the most successful and one of the highest-paid employees in firms.

B.Tech

• B.Tech program must have cleared 12th from science stream (Non-Medical/ Medical). Applicants must have physics, chemistry and mathematics in 12th standard

BSc+MSc

• Applicants who are seeking admission to M.Sc at SVNIT Surat must have appeared for the JEE Main entrance exam

M.Tech

• Candidates seeking admission in the M.Tech program must have scored a minimum of 60% aggregate or an equivalent CGPA
• Selection Process: GATE entrance exam
