AMU Application Process 2024

Aligarh Muslim University follows a common application Process for all the courses offered at UG and PG level. The AMU Notice about information related to admissions is being updated on the official website of the University from time to time. Application form can be filled online by following the below-listed steps:

1. Visit the official website of Aligarh Muslim University.
2. Register as a new user by providing details of Name, Address & course of choice.
3. Log in using the username and password generated at the time of registration.
4. Fill the form with respect to personal and academic details. Upload photograph and signature.
5. Fill the Aligarh Muslim University Admission Form and pay the application by Credit/ Debit card or through Net-Banking.

AMU 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for admission in AMU must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria of their respective course. Check the eligibility criteria for all the courses below.

• Candidates must have qualifying exam with minimum passing marks.
• Those who are in the final year exam are also eligible to apply for admisison.

 MBA Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 55% marks.

 M.Tech

• Should have a B. Tech. degree or its equivalent in the relevant subject / discipline.
• Should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCM.
• Candidates must have obtained 60% marks s in aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree exam.

M.Sc. (Home Science)

• Candidates must posses a B. Sc (Hons.) Home Science degree.
• Must have obtained the degree with 60% marks in aggregate.

BA: 10+2 in the relevant subject group with 50% marks in aggregate

BVoc: 10+2 with 50% marks in aggregate

B.com/BSW: 10+2 with 55% marks in aggregate

B.Li.Sc: B.A. / B. Sc. / B. Com. / B. Th. / BA-LL.B / BFA with at least 50% marks.

Bped: Graduation with 50% marks and with active participation in the Inter-College/Inter Zonal / District / School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.

B.ed: 50% marks in B.A. / B.Sc. / B. Com. / B.Th. in aggregate.

BA LLB: 10+2 with 50% marks from a recognized board

B.tech: 10+2 with PCM and English with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

MBBS: A valid score in NEET followed by counselling

MPED: BPE/ B.P.Ed/ BA (h) or B.Sc (H) in Health & Physical Education with 55% marks

MFA: BFA or B.A.(Hons.) in Fine Arts with one-year Pre-MFA (Bridge Course)

M.com: B.Com (H) with 55% marks in aggregate

MFM: Bachelor’s degree in Arts/ Science/ Commerce or Social Science with 50% marks

LLM: LL.B or BA-LL.B from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks in aggregate

MSW: B.A. / B. Sc. / B. Com. / B.S.W. / B. Tech. / B. Arch. / B.E. / M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.R.T.T. / B.U.M.S. / B.B.A. / B.C.A. / B.A.LL.B. degree with at least 50% marks

AMU 2024 Exam Pattern

Check the Aligarh Muslim University Exam pattern below before filling the application form:

• Exam Mode and Date: AMU 2024 exam will be conducted on various dates for various programmes via offline mode.
• Sections: For B.Tech program, the question paper will consist of 3 sections – Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.
• Type of Questions: Multiple choice questions will be asked in the paper.
• Number of Questions: Total of 150 questions will be there in the paper. Each section will have 50 questions.
• Time Duration: Total time of 3 hours will be given to complete the test.
• Total Marks: For B.Tech, the question paper will be of total 150 marks.
• Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be given. For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Application Fee:

• The Application Fee can be paid through net banking or debit/credit card.
• Payment can also be done through bank challan of ICICI or Canara Bank or Demand Draft.

The Office of the controller of examinations, AMU, has released the answer key for all courses online at its website. AMU Scholarships

• Maqsood Hussain Khan Memorial Scholarship: INR 18,000 to MBBS students from weak financial backgrounds
• Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for ST/SC: Students with a first class degree and 60% or more marks
• Salim Scholarship: To be eligible for this scholarship, students need to have first, second and third in the MBBS Courses
• Prof Hafizur Rahman Merit Scholarship: Awardedt o students with First class degree and/or 60% marks
