The Bachelor of Law Entrance Test (BLET) exam is conducted by Patna Law College, affiliated with Patna University (PU) for admission to the three-year LLB course offered by it. The exam is conducted in a pen-paper mode for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. BLET has MCQ type questions. A total of 100 MCQs are asked, 50 from general knowledge and 25 each from current affairs and legal aptitude. The final admission to candidates is provided on the basis of a merit list prepared on basis of the entrance test results, eligibility criteria and other conditions. Candidates must secure at least 33% marks in BLET to qualify for admission.
Application Form
- Visit the official website of the Bihar Institute of Law and get yourself register using your email ID and password
- After registration is complete, login to your account using the login credential
- After logging in, you’ll have to click on the apply now button and fill the application form with details like name, address, education qualification, etc.
- Now, you’ll have to upload the documents mentioned below and click on the pay button
- Now, you’ll have to pay the application fee using the credit/debit card, UPI, Net Banking, etc.
- Make sure to take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for the future use
Bihar Institute of Law Admission 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check and properly read BILAT( Bihar Institute of Law Patna LLB Entrance Test) eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Check eligibility criteria below:-
- Minimum 45% marks in Graduation Degree scored by any candidates in Arts/Science/Commerce/Engineering or any relevant disciplines from recognised University.
- Those candidates who are appearing in Final year graduation exam or waiting for the result can also apply BILAT 2024, but they must make sure that Result will have to be declared till date of admission.
BILAT Exam Pattern
The exam pattern will be very helpful for the applicants to understand the structure of the question paper. The exam pattern of the BILAT exam is mentioned below.
- The medium of the entrance test shall be English.
- The Entrance Test will be based on objective questions with type multiple choice.
- The duration of the test shall be of two hours
- There will be 180 seats.
BILAT Result 2024
After completing the examination, the BILAT Result has been declared through the Bihar Institute of Law, Patna on its official website.

Merit list:
- The Bihar Institute of Law, Patna publishes the category wise merit list of successful candidates.
- The merit list is published on the notice board of the Bihar Institute of Law and on the Bihar Institute of law website.
- The admission to LLB. course and B.A. LLB. course will be done strictly in order of the merit list drawn on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the aforesaid Entrance Test.
- In order to qualify for admission to the college, the candidate has to score the minimum qualifying marks of 40% marks in the BILAT examination.
