Birsa Agricultural University is an agricultural university at Kanke, Ranchi in the Indian state of Jharkhand. It was established on 26 June 1981, after its formal inauguration by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.  Indira Gandhi. Its primary objective is to develop area specific technologies and manpower in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry for the agricultural development of the plateau region of Jharkhand and economic upliftment of tribal and other backward class population of the region. Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) Ranchi, offers UG and PG level courses in Agriculture, Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry and Forestry streams.

Eligibility: Students must have passed10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics (PCM/B)

B.V.Sc. & AH

Eligibility: Students must have passed10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB)

M.Sc. (Agriculture)/M.Sc. (Forestry)/M.V.Sc

Eligibility: Student looking for admission must have scored 60% in 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science & A.H. and Forestry.

M.Tech

Eligibility: 60% in Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science & A.H., Forestry and Biotechnology

MBA

Eligibility: 60% in Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Forestry, Horticulture, Fisheries, Dairy Technology, Agri.

Ph.D

Eligibility: Students must have passed graduation degree in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.
