Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN) was established in 2009 at Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. The University was inaugurated on 30 September 2009 by the then Union Minister Kapil Sibal who laid the foundation stone. CUCET is a national level exam which is conducted by ten central universities jointly. It is a combined entrance test organized for providing admission into various UG, PG & other courses offered by the central universities across India. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria for CUCET exam can apply for the exam.

Ph.D
Eligibility Criteria:  A consistently good academic record possessing a Master’s Degree (two years duration) with a minimum of 55% marks
If you have cleared UGC CSIR JRF, GATE, NBHM, or qualified in any other National level Exams then you are exempted from appearing into the entrance test but have to register for CUCET

M.Sc.
Eligibility Criteria:  A Pass in the Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India with 60% marks

B.sc. B.ed.
Eligibility Criteria:  A Pass in the Plus two examination or equivalent of any recognized board in India with 60% marks (Mathematics /Statistics, Physics and Chemistry) for General Category, 55%

M.Lib.I.Sc.
Eligibility Criteria:  Any Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks for General Category, 45% marks OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 40% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level.

M.Com.
Eligibility Criteria:  Graduates in commerce from a recognized University with a minimum of 55 % marks.

M.Sc
Eligibility Criteria:  Any Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks for General Category

M.Tech.
Eligibility Criteria:  Minimum marks in the qualifying examination for admission is 60% for General Category, 55% for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 50% for SC/ST candidates
Qualifying exam: CUCET

MA

Eligibility Criteria:  Bachelor’s degree with at least 55% marks for General Category, 50% marks

MBA
Eligibility Criteria:  Any degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 55 % marks. 50% marks for OBC (Non-creamy Layer) and 45% marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates at Graduate level.

MSW
Eligibility Criteria:  Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with at least 55% marks for General Category, 50%

LLM
Eligibility Criteria:  LLB Degree or its equivalent with not less than 50% of marks

Central University of Tamil Nadu Admission Process

•  Candidate should log in to the official Central University of Tamil Nadu website and go to the “Apply” section.
• Click on the Registration link against the UG/PG Course which you want to apply for. After successful registration, the candidate will receive a mail and message at the respective register email ID and mobile.
• After filling in all the relevant details carefully, a candidate should upload his/her scanned photo and signature.
• In this step, candidates can edit their applications and proceed for payment of the processing fee through any of the following modes:
• Online mode of payment: Candidates can pay the required application fee through online payment modes such as net banking/ Credit card/ Debit card.
• Offline Mode of payment: Candidates can also pay the required fee offline through E-Challan at any SBI branch. If an applicant pays the examination fee through offline challan mode of SBI, the bank charges of INR 50 will be borne by the candidate.
