Procedure to fill CLAT Application Form:
- You can fill the CLAT Application form through online mode only.
- Students must have valid email id for the online registration.
- You are required to create user id and password to upload the scanned copies of document, Signature.
- Visit the CLAT official website.
- On the home page click on to the link in which Click Here For New Registration is mentioned.
- Registration page will open
- You are required to mention the name, email ID and mobile number for the registration.
- Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated after filling the asked details and uploading the required comments click on the submit button.
- Payment page will open.
- You need to pay the application form fee by using bank Challan or via Credit Card, Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- After the successful registration you will receive the confirmation E-mail or SMS at their registered mail ID and number.
CLAT 2024: Registration Fee
- The registration fee is Rs 4000 for general category and for SC/ ST/ BPL category, the application fee is Rs 3500.
- The candidates can pay the application fee by using the credit card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Paytm.
Exam Pattern
- Mode of examination: The examination is conducted through the offline mode (Pen Paper Based).
- Duration of the Examination: The examination will be off 2 Hours.
- Questions Types: The question will be asked in the Multiple Choice Format (MCQs).
- Number of Questions: The question paper will be containing 120-150 Questions in the UG section and 150 Questions in the PG Section.
- Language of the exam: The examination will be asked in the English language only.
- Marking scheme: The paper will contain 1 mark for each correct response.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Eligibility Criteria
CLAT Law Eligibility Criteria for UG (LLB)
The minimum education qualification required for CLAT 2024 for admission to the UG programme (LL.B) is as follows –
- The candidate must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 45% of marks. However, the 45% qualifying mark rule is applicable only for General category.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories must have a minimum of 40% of marks in Class 12th to be eligible for the entrance exam.
Education Qualification Required for CLAT PG (LLM)
The educational qualification mandatory to appear for CLAT PG (LLM) 2024 is as follows –
- The candidates must have an LL.B degree with a minimum of 55% of marks. However, 55% qualifying rule in LL.B is applicable for General category & OBC.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ ST must have a minimum of 50% of marks in LL.B to be eligible for LL.M admission in NLUs through CLAT.
Admit Card:
Download the admit card using the online mode from the official website. There will be the availability of the admit card from the April month during the third week. There will not be the availability of the admit card via any of the modes such as e-mail or post. Make sure for carrying the admit card along with you during the time of examination as it is the mandatory document for the candidates. Also, avail with the documents such as Aadhar card/ Passport/ voter id/ Driving license.
How to Download CLAT Admit Card 2024?
Step 1: Visit the official website of the exam – https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Enter registered mobile number and password in the space provided.
Step 3: Click on the Login button.
Step 4: Click on the Download Admit Card link given at the top right of the screen.
Step 5: Download and save the admit card PDF on your device.
Step 6: Take at least three printouts of the admit card on an A4 sheet for future references.
Prepare for CLAT
- First of all make subject wise time table for routine study and strictly follow the routine.
- Prepare notes of the important topics on different subjects so that you can use them later to remind things.
- Give more time to your weak subject and never skip you study.
- Read daily newspapers for current affairs knowledge.
- Also collect some good books and sample papers and accordingly prepare yourself.
- Solve previous year question papers to know examination pattern and difficulty level of questions. Also practice mock test, it will be helpful.
How to check CLAT 2024 result:
- Click on the CLAT result link
- The candidate will be re-directed to a log-in window
- Enter registration/application number and date of birth
- The result will be displayed on screen in downloadable pdf format.
Counselling
The allotment of seats can be done on the basis of CLAT 2024 ranks, in order to college, category and number of seats. CLAT 2024 admission in UG and PG programme is completely followed by centralized online counseling conducted by the CLAT authority.
