Direct Admission of Student Abroad (DASA) is a national level admission procedure conducted by the one of participating Institutions in the rotational basis. This year, it will be conducted by NIT Warangal. DASA is a scheme of MHRD which is intended to provide admission in various UG, PG courses to the Foreign Nationals, PIO and NRI candidates. The admission in the UG, PG Programs will be provided on the basis of JEE Main, GRE and GMATscore. In this article, we have compiled the complete information about DASA including the eligibility criteria, application submission process, and others. Students who don’t live or belong to India can get admission in NITs, IIITs, IIEST, SPAs, Central, and other premium universities through this.

DASA 2024 Overview

DASA 2024 Application Form:

• Application Form will be discharged through online mode.
• For Undergraduate Course, the application structure will be made accessible between the first seven day stretches of April till the second seven day stretch of June
• For the Postgraduate Course, the application structure will be made accessible between the three seven-day stretches of April – June.
• While filling the application structure, Aspirants are encouraged to give an email ID and telephone number in the application structure.
• There will be no compelling reason to send any printed copy of the filled-in application structure for additional utilization.
• Candidates must send SAT subject grades to NITK Surathkal through College Board, USA.
• After accommodation of use structure, no change or alteration will be permitted to any applicant. So the applicant must fill the structure cautiously.
• At last, Aspirants must not neglect to take the printout of filled in application structure for additional utilization.

Application Fee:

Application Form fee can be paid through online mode only. Candidates can use SWIFT transfer / E-payment gateways for transaction of application fee.

DASA UG Counselling

Candidates will be called for participating in the counselling based on the merit list. Separate merit list will be released for separate courses. Candidates will be allotted rank based on their marks and choices filled by them. DASA UG counselling process incorporates different stages like registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, etc. After seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the allotted institute and pay the precribed fee to lock their seat.

• Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format
• Scanned copies of relevant documents
• Class 10th, 11th, and 12th mark-sheet
• Class 10th, 11th, and 12th certificate
• Applicants Passport
• Date of Birth proof
• Proof of last 2 years of education in a foreign country in case of NRI
• Latest passport size photograph in JPG format

DASA UG Dates 2024

Eligibility Criteria

For UG Course:

• Nationality: Applicants of the category NRI / PIO / OCI can apply.
• Qualification: Applicants should meet the criteria to be qualified from intermediate or equivalent exams from any recognized board or university. You might like to check COMEDK UGET examination.

For Course on PG:

• Qualification: Applicants must be eligible with a 4-5 year graduate degree in UG Engineering programmes.
• Percentage: in the qualifying test, he / she must score at least 60 percent points, or 50 (CGPA).
• M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Des / M.Plan: Applicants should have scored a total of 300 GRE (Quantitative + Verbal) Revised General Tests.
• For MBA: Selected applicant must have earned at least 480 GMAT MBA Test scores.

DASA Selection Procedure 2024

• Candidates whose names appear on the merit list have to participate in the counselling and seat allotment procedure.
• The counselling procedure takes place in the online mode only.
• Seat allotment list will be released after each round of counselling.
• Once the seat is allotted, an aspirant can either accept the seat or file for an upgradation.
• In case a candidate is not satisfied with his/her seat, they can participate in other rounds of counselling.

DASA Reservation Criteria

The 5% supernumerary seats are reserved for Children of Indian Workers in Gulf (CIWG)  i.e., 1/3rd seats from the DASA quota is reserved for CIWG candidates. This detail is base on per previous year brochure.

DASA 2024 Merit List

In this section we have provided the basic information about the DASA 2024 Merit List that has been prepared by the official authorities. The official authorities of the National Institute of Technology will release the DASA 2024 Merit List in online mode on the official website of the university.

The official authorities will be preparing the DASA 2024 Merit List for the Under Graduate (UG) courses on the basis of the marks secured by the applicants in the SAT entrance exam. The DASA 2024 Merit List will be prepared only for those applicants whose SAT scores have been received by the MNNIT Allahabad before the due date from the College Board.

DASA Result 2024

The Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology will declare the result of the DASA entrance examination on its official website and as per the marks of the candidates in this entrance examination, the applicants will be shortlisted in the merit list. Those students have given the Examination of DASA; they will be able to check their results available on the official webpage.
