Davangere University is a public state university located in Davangere, Karnataka, India. The university was established in the year 2008 by the Government of Karnataka. Davanagere University is one of the youngest affiliating types of Universities in Karnataka. It has a jurisdiction of two Districts viz., Davangere and Chitradurga and headquartered at Davangere. Davangere which was part of Chitradurga District became a separate district on 15th August 1997 and is emerging as an important educational centre besides being a well known commercial and industrial town in Karnataka. Davangere University prior to its establishment functioned as a Post-Graduate Centre of the University of Mysore from 1979 to 1987. The amenities provided by the university are well-equipped and established. There is separate hostel facility for boys and girls. The central library of the university has all necessary text books, reference books and journals, etc. The computer labs are spacious and well-equipped with all modern amenities. There are other facilities in the university are health centre, SBI bank, canteen, consumer store, gymnasium, student’s grievances cell, etc

M.Sc: Graduation in science stream from a recognized university with 45% aggregate marks

MA: BA/Any relevant graduation degree from a recognized institute with 45% aggregate

M.Com: B.Com/BBM degree with 45% aggregate

MBA: Any graduation degree with 45% aggregate
CMAT/ KEA entrance exam

M.Ed: B.Ed with 45% aggregate

MSW: Any Bachelor’s degree with minimum 45% (40% for reserved) marks.

Ph.D/M.Phil: Master’s degree in the concerned disciplines with aggregate 55% marks and Entrance Test conducted by the university. Candidates, who have passed NET / UGC-CSIR or are JRF and Project fellows, need not appear for the entrance exam.
