The Government Engineering College Thrissur is an engineering college situated in Thrissur city of Kerala, India. It is the second oldest govt. engineering college established in Kerala and the first government engineering college to be established after the formation of Kerala state. It offers seven full-fledged undergraduate programmes, six part-time undergraduate programmes, ten post-graduate programmes and Ph.D. research programmes in Engineering. Besides the engineering programmes, the college also offers Undergraduate and Post Graduate programmes in Architecture and Post-graduate programme in Computer Applications (MCA). For admission to any of the engineering courses offered by the college candidates must pass in Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala or examination recognized equivalent there to with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology / Computer Science put together.Government Engineering College, Thrissur is one among the oldest and well known institutions in Kerala, affiliated to Calicut University. B.Tech course is offered in regular/part time mode.
