Gujarat Arts & Science College, popularly and earlierly known as Gujarat College, is one of the oldest educational institution of India and second arts and science college of Gujarat, near Ellis Bridge, Ahmedabad. The institution was founded in 1845 as a government-run educational institute. Established since 1860, Gujarat College is one of the oldest institutions in the state of Gujarat. Located in the heart of the city, Ahmedabad, with a sprawling campus and Victorian architectural buildings, its Arts and Science faculties closely knit the college. Its reputation for outstanding achievements is known world-wide and it reflects the intellectual achievements of the students.
