Himachal Pradesh University is accredited A by NAAC, Ministry of Human Resource Development.. HPU Application Form 2024

The university has released the HPU application form 2024 for B.Ed course and entrance based programmes on April 8 and 11, respectively. Candidates could fill the HPU application form 2024 in online mode through the official website of the university till May 19. Only those candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the HPU 2024 application form. Candidates must make sure to keep the required documents with themselves while filling out the application form of HPU 2024.

HPU Admission Process 2024

Candidates are required to register for filling the HPU application form 2024 in online mode.
The university conducts HPU admission in two ways – Entrance-based admission and merit-based admission.
The HPU admission 2024 for UG courses will be merit-based while for PG courses, the HPU 2024 admission will be entrance based.
The selection of the candidates will be made by the university itself.
After the HPU result release, the candidates will be required to attend the HPU counselling session.
The HPU counselling will be conducted at the university campus.

For admission to Himachal Pradesh University, candidates can apply through the official application portal of the University. The step-by-step admission process is elaborated below:

Online Process

Click on the university website.
Click on the course you wish to apply for.
Click on “I agree to All the above conditions”.
Application forms for the corresponding course will get displayed on the screen.
Select the course name and fill out the relevant information.
Once you have filled all the required information, click on the “Save” button and you will get its unique Registration number along with the password.
Kindly note the registration number and its password
Login with your registration number and password
Fill the remaining application form about your education and documents details.
Kindly upload all the documents required.

Offline Process

Candidates need to get a hard copy of the form and fill it in.
They must attach all the Himachal Pradesh University’s papers.
They must also fulfill all charges of application.

HPU UG and PG Eligibility Criteria

BA: Passed in 10+2 from any stream with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

BSC: Passed in 10+2 from any stream with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

B.Com: Passed in 10+2 from any stream with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

BHM: Passed 10 + 2 from any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in the final examination.

BA LLB: 10+2 level with 50% marks

M.Sc (Nursing) Candidates should be a Registered Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with a degree in B.Sc/Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with at least 55% marks in aggregate. One year of experience is mandatory prior to Post-Basic Nursing and after B.Sc (Nursing)

MMC: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field

HPU Scholarships

Himachal Pradesh University has a number of scholarships available for students. These are provided by both the State Government and Central Government. Below mentioned are the scholarships provided by the University:

Students Aid Fund: This scholarship is given to the poor students belonging to IRDP/BPL/Low-Income families enabling such students to continue their higher education at the university level.
Cultural Activists Scholarships: It is awarded to the 10 students who excel in academic and cultural activities in any of the departments of the University.
Sports Scholarship: This Scholarship is awarded to the 16 students for the outstanding sportsmen/women of the Teaching Departments.
