How to Apply for a Distance MCA Course in IGNOU? – Admission Procedure 2024

Step 1: Visit the official site of IGNOU.

Step 2: Choose the option of “Fresh Admission”.

Step 3:  Fill in the Student Enrollment Form on the site of IGNOU.

Step 4: Complete all your details in the application form such as contact details, educational qualifications, and opted program.

Step 5: Upload all the necessary documents on the portal, such as scanned copies of photographs and signatures, scanned copies of educational qualification certificates, scanned copies of ID proofs.

Step 6: Then, proceed to make the payment for the program you have chosen. You can make payment from the payment gateway and choose any option from Credit card, Debit card, and net banking.

Step 7: On the website, you will see the confirmation of your payment.

Step 8: Wait for the confirmation mail from the side of the university. Generally, it takes 2 months because the university sends confirmation after verifying all your documents.

IGNOU MCA Registration Fee

The candidates will have to pay the IGNOU MCA  Fees in order to complete the registration process. They will have to pay 200/- as a non-refundable fee along with the programme fee of the first semester/year at the time of admission. Below, the candidates can check the cancellation and refund policy –

1. Before the last date of submission of form – The fee paid will be refunded after deduction of 200/-
2. Within 15 days from the last date for submission of form – The paid fees will be refunded after deduction of 500/-
3. Within 30 days from the last date for submission of form – Paid fee will be given after deduction of 1000/-
4. After 30 days from the closing window – No refund

IGNOU MCA Eligibility Criteria 

The candidate must fulfil these eligibility criteria to get admitted to IGNOU for MCA:

• The candidate should have a three-year graduate degree from a recognized university.
• The candidate should have studied Mathematics in 10+2+BCA or in college.
• In case the candidate did not study Mathematics, they have to pursue and pass the BCS-012 course concurrently with IGNOU MCA.
