Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology is a government-aided institute and deemed university for the study and research of space science, located at Valiamala, Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Indian Institute of Space Science And Technology Course Details with Eligibility Criteria

UG Courses/B.Tech

• The selection for BTech and BTech Dual (BTech+MS/ MTech) programme is done based on candidates’ valid score in JEE Advanced and counseling round

PG Courses (M.Tech)

• Candidates holding BTech degree in the relevant discipline along with a GATE score are eligible to apply for MTech and MS course
• The selection is based on the marks obtained in written test and interview
• Age Limit: The candidate must have a maximum of 32 Years of age. There is age relaxation for the Reserved Category candidate.

PhD Course

• Candidates, who have completed BTech/ BE/ ME/ MTech/ MS pass candidates in the relevant stream are eligible to apply for PhD course
• It is mandatory to have a valid score in UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ JEST (or) GATE

General Eligibility:                                                           

• The applicants should be citizens of India.
• They must have a native residence certificate of the resided state and justify their local status specified by India’s Government.
• When reporting for the university’s admission process, students must submit their Birth certificate and medical fitness certificate, which is used to verify their age criteria and physical capability.

Online Process

1. Register yourself on the official website of IIST and read terms and conditions before applying.
2. Select the appropriate payment method to pay the online fee.
3. After successful payment, download your E-Challan and login to your account.
4. Click on the Fill Form button and enter the required detail.
5. The applicants need to fill the form with academic and personal information.
6. Upload the scanned copies of the document for proof and E-Challan.
7. Submit your form.

UG Course Fee
For male candidates in general/ EWS/ OBC- NCL Rs. 600/-
For female candidates in general/ EWS/ OBC- NCL and for all SC/ ST/ PD Rs. 300/-

For PG Courses:
For general category candidates Rs. 600/-
For SC/ ST and female candidates Rs. 300/-

Offline Process

1. Purchase your form from the main campus or download from the web portal.
2. Fill the form, enter the details, upload the documents, and DD.
3. Post your form to the Admission desk of IIST.

Reservation Policy for IIST 2024 B. Tech Admission

IIST Admission 2024 Counselling.

IIST Admission Counselling will begin for all the eligible aspirants. Aspirants who have applied for PG courses will be called for counselling based on the result of the interview whereas for UG course candidates will be invited based on the merit list. Aspirants must have to download their counselling letter.
