Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, was established on 2^nd october 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first Technological University in the country. It has been in the forefront for the past 44 years in providing quality technological education of relevance in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The University Library is catering the Information needs of nearly 4000 UG, PG, and Research students along with the teaching staff of the following University Institutions, Institute of Science and Technology with 7 departments, The University has two Auditoriums namely Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium and UGC Auditorium with a seating capacity of 1050 and 330 respectively which is used for the conduct of Convocations, Conferences, Workshops, University / College functions etc. The University is extensively promoting sports and games through its Constituent /Affiliated Colleges, Institutes, and Schools.
