Common Management Admission Test is a gateway to more than 1000 AICTE approved institutes such as Goa Institute of Management, JBIMS, Great Lakes Institute, and SIMSREE. Organized by NTA, it is a 3 hour long computer based test consisting of a total 100 questions from 4 sections. While the registration and application process for largest MBA entrance exam CAT 2020 has closed in September, other top MBA entrance exams leading to admission 2024 are open till November/December 2024. XAT 2024 for admission to XLRI, XIMB, IMT and 150 other top B-schools is open. The Common Management Admission Test shortened as CMAT is one of the national level entrance examinations conducted across the country for admission to management programs in several MBA institutions. The examination used to be conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions given by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

CMAT 2024 Application Process

CMAT 2024 application form will tentatively start from the first week of November 2020 and the last date to submit the form will be second week of December 2020. Prior to filling the CMAT application form 2024, candidates need to register themselves in the web account of NTA by providing their basic credentials.
The application form could be successfully filled in three simple steps-
- Filling the online registration with basic credentials
- Fill up the Application Form; Personal, Academic and Professional details, if any.
- Payment of Application Fee; Can be paid through Net banking, Debit/ Credit Card, and Cash deposit at SBI Bank.
CMAT 2024 Exam Pattern
- Mode: CMAT 2024 will be conducted online i.e. Computer-based Test (CBT).
- Paper Pattern: CMAT 2024 exam pattern is planned in such a way that it consists of 100 questions which are divided into 4 sections with 25 questions each.
- Negative Marks: There is a negative marking in the CMAT exam. For each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted and for every correct answer, 4 marks are allotted.
- Duration: 3 hours will be given for you to complete an examination.
- Syllabus: Language Comprehension, Quantitative Techniques, and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness.
- Marks and Medium: Maximum marks in CMAT examination are 400 and the exam will be conducted in English.
CMAT Eligibility Criteria
Minimum qualification required to appear for CMAT exam is Graduation. Check CMAT eligibility criteria below.
- Graduation in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Final year Graduation students are also eligible to apply for the exam
- There is no minimum aggregate cut off to apply.
- There is no age limit to apply for CMAT
CMAT 2024 Admit Card
CMAT 2024 admit card can be downloaded from the official website from the scheduled date. CMAT admit cards will be available in online mode only and can be downloaded until the exam day. Given below are the steps to download CMAT 2024 admit card.
- Log on to the official website of NTA-CMAT
- Click on ‘download admit card’
- Enter application ID and password or date of birth
- Click on ‘admit card’ tab to download
- Save CMAT admit card on desktop or take a print out
CMAT 2024 Result: The exam notification states that the CMAT 2024 Result will tentatively be issued on 7th February 2024. Along with the declaration of the result, the NTA will also make available the CMAT 2024 scorecards to the candidates on the basis of which they will be able to apply to different B-schools for admission to MBA programmes.

Payment Mode: The fee payment of CMAT will be done through online mode using debit/ credit card / net banking /PayTM/ UPI (upto 11:50 p.m. up to bank hours).

CMAT Preparation Tips
- Make a proper strategy for study based on the syllabus of the exam.
- Go through the prescribed syllabus and try to cover all topics.
- Collect best books and study material from the seniors, market and coaching centres etc.
- Divide topics based on relevance and difficulty level and accordingly give preference to the important topics.
- Make short notes of the important topics for revision at last time.
- Always follow the timetable for study and never take it for granted.
- Believe in yourself, maintain good health and stay stress-free.
CMAT 2024 Result
Here we are mentioning the details of the CMAT 2024 Result which will be declared through the online mode. The candidates can download the result through the official website. The students have to enter their login credentials and then they can download the result. The CMAT 2024 Result will be declared in the first week of February 2024. The actual marks that have been secured by the candidate are considered while preparing the CMAT 2024 Result. The students will be also able to download the CMAT 2024 Result along with the scorecard of CMAT 2024 from the official website. The scorecard will be not provided to the students through the offline mode.
CMAT 2024 Answer Key
- The NTA will display answer keys and recorded responses of the questions on the website ntacmat.nic.in.
- The candidates not satisfied with the answer keys/ recorded responses can challenge by filling an online application form and paying a processing charge of Rs. 1000/- per question.
- The processing fee can be paid by credit card/ debit card/ net banking and will be non-refundable.
