M.Com. or the Master in commerce is a post-graduation degree course. This is usually done after B.Com. Or Bachelor of commerce. There are two ways to take admission in M.Com. (depends on school rules)-

• Based on the merit list
• By entrance exams

First of all, select the college where you want to take admission. And give its entrance exam. Generally, the Entrance examination is based on MCQ (multiple choice questions). This process is done to test the students’ command in commerce subjects. The Famous and the top college’s list is below for your reference. 

For this, we have to get registered for M.com. Admission for that particular college. Its registration is done generally in July or August. Many colleges and universities recommend graduation degrees with honours only. And most of the reputed colleges demand a minimum of 45%-50% marks in graduation degree as a qualification criterion to get admission in MCom course.

 Eligibility for M.Com. course

To pursue M.com. Course, there are some eligibility criteria. These are as follows: 

The candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks in B.Com. Or in the B.Com. Honours or equivalent course from any recognized university. While some universities asked for candidates, who have Bachelor’s degrees in BBE, Economics & Statistics, and other courses in this category only, with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university. And yes, there is a kind of relaxation for the students, who belong to SC/ST like -marks relaxation of up to 5% in some universities.

How to Apply for M.Com. course

Now we will tell you the whole process to get admission to M.Com. In most of the colleges, the M.Com. Admissions are made via entrance examinations only. We are telling you some points, which will help you in M.Com. Admission process for this year.

• First of all, candidates must choose M.Com. Colleges, where they want to take admission and check all the details like late date and all.
• To give the entrance exam, candidates are requested to register and then apply for the exam. After that, fill out the application form and pay the application fee. And when it is confirmed, they can download or take a printout of the application form for further proceeding.
• Now they have to keep on tracking the college’s official website for the admit cards and other notifications.
• After qualifying the M.Com, for entrance exams, they are requested to fill out the application form of the selected colleges with all details like entrance exam score etc.
• If everything goes right, I might call them for a written test and other things to complete the admission process.
• Shortlisted students may be called to participate in WAT / PI or the GD session. It is unnecessary, but some colleges and universities include this session.
