NLU Kochi Admission 2024 – LLM, BA LLB, Application form, Merit List, Eligibility Criteria
The National University of Advanced Legal Studies is a public law school and a National Law University located in Kochi, India. It is the first and only National Law University in the State of Kerala and one of the 23 NLUs in India. Admissions to the university are done on the basis of the Common Law Admission Test. The University is also known for its best educational and residential facilities. It has all the necessary education facilities which include moot court hall, library, research centres, WiFi facility, seminar halls, video conferencing facilities, etc. Every year, the University organises guest lectures on trending topics with over 20 visiting faculties to give an exposure of corporate world to the students.
It lies in Kochi – the industrial capital of Kerala and the headquarters of the Kerala High Court, a 10-acre plot into a Kinfra Hi-Tech Park at Kalamassery. The university provides PG, PG Diploma, Built-in BA-LLB, Ph.D., and Certificate level Programs under its curriculum.

NUALS Admission Process
NUALS admissions are conducted online through the official website of the University. Admission process generally commences in June.
- BA LLB (Hons) and LLM admissions are based on CLAT exam. Candidates will be shortlisted based on the scores obtained in CLAT.
- PhD admissions are based on UGC NET/ Departmental Admission Test (DAT). Candidates will be selected based on the scores obtained in any of the entrance exams and the performance in research proposal and PI.
Application form
- Candidates need to register themselves through CAPS (CLAT Online Application Processing System) available on the official website of CLAT.
- On successful registration, the candidates will receive their CAPS User ID and Password via their registered Email address Mobile number.
- Next, the candidate has to log-in with all their User ID and password, and fill the online application form in conjunction with the uploading their signature, birth certificate scanned photograph and by a category certificate
- Candidates then have to go payment on the section and pay the application fee either online or through the draft.
- The candidate may also generate a Bank Challan, take its printout and submit the fee through it, in money, at any ICICI branch.

University Facilities:
The University provides different facilities that are as follows:-
Educational Facilities: In this type of facilities, students are provided with library, Wi-Fi facility, Academic Block, Moot Court Hall, Smart Class Rooms and so on.
Residential Facilities: In this, students are provided with hostel facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
BA LLB: 10+2 with at least 45% marks QUALIFYING EXAM: CLAT
LLM: LLB Or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks
PHD: Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% of marks (50% in case of SC/ ST candidate)
PG Diploma: Bechelors Degree in any stream

Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB (HONS.) is offered in Maritime Law, Media & Telecommunications Law, Forensic Science, Psychological Medicine & Law etc. for a course fee of Rs 1.9 Lakhs per annum.
Masters of Law (LL.M.) is offered in International Trade Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law etc. for a course fee of Rs 1.25 Lakhs per annum.
