Periyar University is a university in Salem, Tamil Nadu, India. It was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 1997. It is named after social reformer Thanthai Periyar E. V. Ramasamy. The University Grants Commissions, New Delhi bestowed 2f status in 1998 and 12 status in 2005 to the university

Eligibility Criteria for Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2024

• Candidates should have Passed Master Degree with a minimum 55% of marks or an equivalent grade.
• For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community and those who have qualified for the Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree.
• The Candidates who are studying Post Graduate Programs and cleared all papers up to III Semester are eligible to apply for MPhil/PhD Program.
• NET/SET/GATE qualified need not apply for the Common Entrance test.

B.Ed. 2 Years Graduation in any discipline
M.Ed. B.Ed./ B.A., B.Ed/B.Sc. B.Ed./B.EI.Ed./D.EI.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% of marks/ For SC/ST Communities 45% Marks

MA Bachelor’s degree in Tamil
M.Com B.Com or B.Com (CA) or Any Degree with Financial Accounting and Cost Accounting / Management Accounting
MBA Any Degree with a minimum of 50% Marks and TANCET 2015 / MAT 2015 / CAT 2015 or any other equivalent admission test score. Group discussion and Personal Interview.
M.Phil. M.Sc Biochemistry with 55% of marks.
Ph.D. M.Sc & M.Phil Biochemistry with 55% of marks.
