Presidency College is an arts, commerce and science college in the city of Chennai in Tamil Nadu, India. Established as the Madras Preparatory School on October 16th, 1840 and later, upgraded to a high school and then a graduate college, the Presidency College is one of the oldest government arts colleges in India.  The degrees offered at the UG level are BA, BSc and Bcom. Presidency College courses are offered in various degrees such as MA, MCom, MSc & MCA at the postgraduate level. All the courses in the college are offered in two shifts.
