Presidency University, Kolkata, formerly known as Hindu College and Presidency College, is a public state university located in College Street, Kolkata. Established in 1817, it is probably the oldest institution in India to have no religious connection. PUBDET Presidency University 2024 Entrance Exam will be conducted in the second week of April 2024 and the PUMDET entrance test will be organized by the university in the fourth week of June 2024. The Presidency University 2024 Entrance Exam Admit Card for the PUBDET will be declared in the first week of April 2024.

Education qualification:

1. Candidate must have passed 10+2 from the Council of Higher Education, West Bengal or any other equivalent examination.
2. Candidates must have qualified with a minimum of 5 subjects including English. The aggregate is calculated from the best four subjects.

For PUBDET:

• Qualification: Students must have passed the 12^th standard but not before the year 2020.
• Board: Must have passed with any recognized Board.
• Nationality: Students must be Indian Citizens.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit.
• Stream: Any Science/ Commerce or Arts.

For PUMDET:

• Qualification: Students must have passed Graduation but not before the year 2020.
• University: Must have passed with any recognized University.
• Nationality: Students must be Indian Citizens.
• Age Limit: There is no age limit.
• Stream: Any Science/ Commerce or Arts.
• Marks Criteria: It differs from courses to courses.

PUMDET application form can be filled online only form WBJEEB portal by following the below-listed steps:

1. Visit the official WBJEEB portal and fill the application form.
2. Upload scanned copies of the desired documents.
3. Pay the application fee of INR 500 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net-Banking.
4. After completing all the application related formalities, download the ‘Confirmation Page’ for further usage.

Offline Process

• Obtain your form from PU’s website.
• Fill it with the required details.
• Attach your two photos and other documents with the original form.
• Create a DD or challan against PU.
• Attach the challan form or DD with the application form.
• Post the form to this address

Presidency University 2024 Admission Procedure

Presidency University 2024 Admission will be done based on PUBCET and PUMDET entrance examination. Admission will contain various steps i.e. application filling process, appearing in entrance test etc.

University will release merit list for the candidates who have shortlisted for other procedures. Merit list will be prepared based on entrance exam score. Final seats will be allotted to the candidates based on document verification and fee submission.
