For taking admission into the university, the candidate must go through an entrance examination called PTU CET which stands for Punjab Technical University Common Entrance Test.

PTU 2024 Application Form
Here are the detailed information candidates needs to know regarding PTU Application Form 2024 :
- The PTU Registration Procedure 2024 is regulated through online mode.
- Pre-registration has been started through online mode in the website.
- Candidates are able to register themselves from May 2024 to June 2024 .
- IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) has started the application form for eligible candidates only, so candidates must confirm their eligibility before applying.
- The details filled by candidates in the application form must be same as it appears in the marksheet, any alteration in the details can cause rejection of application form.
- Applicant must submit their PTU application form before the Prescribed date, as no candidates will be allowed to submit the application form after that date.
- The Last date for submission of PTU application form will be in June 2024 .
- Candidates are advised to seek the printout of filled PTU application form and fee receipt for future references.
TU Exam Application Fees:
For General/OBC applicants, the fee is Rs.500.
For SC/ST applicants, the fee is Rs.250.
Mode of Payment: Applicant will pay their fee online via debit/credit card or via web banking. Also, the fee is paid offline via the demand draft.
Documents required for PTU CET 2024 Application Form
The following are the documents that are necessary for filling the application form-
- Latest Scanned photo passport size
- 10 and 12 certificates scanned
- Graduation Degree/Marks Sheet (If any)

The result is declared online. The university usually announces the date of the result on the website. The student has to enter their stipulated user id and password to check the result. The result is displayed on the official website as a scorecard. After counseling, the university announces the result of counseling for admission. Candidates get a notification via SMS. Candidates have to pay the counseling fee first in order to attend the counseling.

B.Tech: Candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate examination form any recognized board. JEE Main
B.Pharm: Candidates must have passed or appearing in the 12th or its equivalent examination from any recognized board. NATA
B.Arch: Aspirants need to have passed XII or the equivalent education with at least 50% marks in Maths and English as the subjects of assessment.
M.Tech: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of B.Tech/ B.E. or its equivalent discipline from any recognized institution. GATE exam
M.Arch: Applicant must have a bachelor’s degree of B.arch. or its equivalent discipline from any recognized institution. GATE exam
Mpharma: Candidates must have Graduation in relevant field from any recognized university/ institute.GPAT Socore
MBA: Candidates applying for MBA Programme must be the bachelor’s degree holder in any discipline from a recognized institution. CMAT
PTU Result/ Merit List 2024:
The PTU merit list/ result will be released by the university for every registered candidates through online mode. The PTU merit list/ result will consist of names of selected candidates for the admission procedure.
PTU merit list/ result will not be sent to any candidates individually through by post or any other offline mode. Candidates will be able to check the complete merit list for every courses through the website of authority.
