Satavahana University has its roots in the erstwhile Post Graduate Centre of Osmania and Kakatiya Universities. In the months of June 2008, the Post Graduate centre has been upgraded as Satavahana University. The University is named after the SATAVAHANA dynasty that ruled this region. The University offers many of its PG, UG and Professional Programmes through two of its Colleges called University College and University Post Graduate College, one situated in Karimnagar Town and the other at Godavarikani. Also, there are over 160 affiliated Government and Private Colleges spread far and wide over the entire Karimnagar District. SU KARIM NAGAR offers admission in various courses like BA, B.COM, B.PHARM, BSc, MA, M.COM, MSW. Various Facilities provided by SU KARIM NAGAR are Medical Support Systems, Sports Complex, Library & Information Center, IT Centers, Auditorium, Indoor Games, Outdoor Games, Girls Hostel, Boys Hostel, Canteen, Practical Lab, Alumni Services, Banks, Placement Cell and etc.

| B.P.Ed. | The candidates must have passed Graduation or Bachelor’s degree in any stream with a minimum of 45-50% of marks. Candidates who have passed Diploma in Physical Education can also apply for B.P. Ed course. |

- Admission will be based on merit in a qualifying exam for all UG and PG courses, Research Programmes are done by the university.
- At the day of counseling, candidates have to submit the photocopies of original documents and also take original documents along with the application form.
