The Saurashtra University was created on a rigorous demand, for a separate university out of Gujarat University (Ahmedabad), from the eminent educationists and freedom fighters of the Saurashtra region. The demand was more prominent after the creation of Gujarat state on May 1, 1961.

The university provides the students with all the required facilities like International Student Cell (ISC), Career Counselling and Development Centre (CCDC), Student Mentoring Cell (SUSMC), Sports Complex and more. The students are provided with excellent placement guidance and career counselling. Saurashtra University Eligibility Criteria

For M.Sc., the candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant  with at least 50% marks in the aggregate.
For M.B.A., the candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant from a University and he or she must be eligible for GCET or CMAT examination.
For M.C.A., M.P.Ed., M.Com. and other PG courses, the candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree from a recognised University.

For B.Voc 10+2 Exam in the relevant stream

For B.Tech+BSC 10+2 examination with PCM/B group from a recognized board

For B.Ed Bachelor’s degree

For PG Diploma  Master’s degree in the desired discipline.
