The Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University is a government music and fine arts university situated in Adyar in the southern part of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is about 14 km from the Chennai International Airport and about 10 km from the Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. The curriculum is designed in a manner to open avenues and to assimilate knowledge about the latest trends in various disciplines taught. Eligibility Criteria For Tamil Nadu Music And Fine Arts University

The candidates who want to take admission into the university. Forthwith the candidates can check the eligibility criteria before applying for the admission.

• The candidates should own their 10th + 12th mark sheet. Consequently, admission into the university.
• If the event that the candidates want to take admission in a master’s degree. For this reason, the candidates should own a bachelor’s degree in the same stream.
• Consequently, if the candidates want to do a Ph.D. Forthwith, they should possess the bachelor’s and master’s degrees with appropriate percentages.

TNMFAU Ph.D. A candidate must have a Master’s or M.Phil. Degree from a recognized Board

Mphil: Candidates who have qualified under the in BA Degree

MFA: Candidates who have qualified under the above discipline in B.F.A Degree are eligible for M.F.A Degree in the same discipline.

MA: Candidates who have qualified under the above discipline in BA Degree is eligible for MA Degree in the same discipline.

BA, BFA: A candidate must have passed 10+2 or higher secondary from a recognized Board

Admission Procedure

Tamil Nadu Music and Fine Arts University shall admit the candidates through Research Aptitude Test. Each candidate shall be required to take the Research Aptitude Test. The Entrance Test shall consist of 50% questions on Research Methodology and 50% questions subject specific (as per UGC/CSIR NET or otherwise notified on University website). Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Teacher fellowship or any other equivalent national level fellowship holder are exempted from the University Entrance Test.
