TOEFL or Test of English as Foreign Language is conducted by the ETS (Educational Testing Services) throughout the year at different centres spread across the country. Applicants can choose from available TOEFL Exam dates at the time of the registration process.
TOEFL is a standardized test that assesses the English proficiency of applicants, whose native language does not happen to be English. The test basically evaluates the ability to understand North American English. Most educational institutes in US and Canada (approximately 2400) ask applicants for their TOEFL Scores.

TOEFL Offline Application
Test takers have to send TOEFL registration form via mail to the registered address.
- The candidate firstly has to download TOEFL registration form
- Candidates have to fill up specific codes(available online) required to fill up the registration form manually
- One can initiate a payment from the options mentioned in the form
- After filling up the form, the candidate has to send the form to RRC(Regional Registered Centers)
- Mail should be received by them at least a month before the test date
- If the candidate does not receive a confirmation, then he/she must call RRC at least three days before the registration deadline.

- Visit TOEFL website
- Select the TOEFL test you wish to appear for (TOEFL iBT or TOEFL PBT)
- Schedule your TOEFL exam date by choosing a day provided by ETS
- Background information (Name, Address, Gender, etc.) – Please note that information you fill out in the form must be the same as your Passport.
- Payment (Debit cards, Credit cards, PayPal or e-check is accepted)

TOEFL Test Day Instructions
Students should keep in mind the following instruction on the TOEFL test dates:
- Reach the test centre 30 min in advance.
- Bring your ID as it will be verified by the Test Centre Administrator (TCA).
- Store all your personal belongings outside the test room.
- The photo will be taken, and a voice recording sample may be taken.
- You will receive scratch paper and a pencil.
- Do the microphone check, and you are good to go

The TOEFL exam is offered to the test-takers via three formats:

Though mainly taken by students who are planning to study abroad where the medium of instruction is primarily English, it is also offered to the following types of candidates.
