University of Agricultural Sciences,Raichur came into existence on 22-11-2008 through bifurcation from UAS,Dharwad vide Karnataka Act. No: 10 of 2010 of the Governor of Karnataka.It was indeed a decade back demand put forth by the people of Hyderabad-Karnataka which is having diverse climatic conditions and farming situations. Demand for an exclusive University for Agricultural Sciences for Hyderabad-Karnataka (H-K) region was felt almost a decade back (Annexure I) owing to inimitable climatic conditions and farming activities. - Candidates must have cleared Class 12 from a recognised board and rank in the merit list with Physics/ Biology/ Chemistry/ Inter-Agriculture as one of the compulsory subjects
MSc Agriculture /MTech Agriculture Engineering

- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university

Reservation Criteria
- For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/OBC category: Reservation of seats will be in accordance with reservation policy stipulated by Government of Karnataka
- The candidate will be transferred to General Merit category if seats reserved for the above-mentioned categories are not filled due to non-availability candidates,
- Seats shall be reserved in favor of NRI/Children’s of NRI/ NRI sponsored candidates not exceeding two students per department
- Seats will be reserved for Teachers/Scientists/Officers of UAS University and for physically challenged candidates
