How To Apply For VBRET Exam 2024?

• Visit the official website of the University, visvabharati.ac.in.

• Click on the ‘For Admission Please Visit’ link on the homepage.

• To apply for VBRET Exam 2024, the eligible candidates must first register themselves.

• In order to register, the candidates should click on ‘Apply Online’

• Candidates should register by entering the basic details.

• The candidates are required to fill up the Application Form with the educational and personal details.

• Now, the candidates should upload the scanned documents, photograph, and signature in the prescribed format.

• Click on the ‘Submit’ button for final submission.

• Finally, save the preview page of the Application Form.

• Candidates are directed to take a hardcopy of the application form for further reference.

Eligibility Criteria for Visva Bharati Santiniketan PhD Admission 2024

• Must possess a Master’s degree or a professional degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate
• Applicants who are belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer)/Differently abled and other categories shall get a relaxation of 5% of marks or an equivalent relaxation of grade as per the decision of the conducting body.
• Aspirants who have qualified the M.Phil coursework by securing minimum 55% marks in aggregate and successfully completing the M.Phil degree shall be eligible to apply
• Candidates who have obtained a degree equivalent to M.Phil degree of an Indian institution or a Foreign Educational Institution is also eligible
• UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ teacher fellowship; Or
• An applicant must have obtained an M.Phil degree from Visva Bharati or any other University recognized by the UGC.

VBRET Selection Process

• Candidates will have to obtain the qualifying marks in order to clear the examination. Candidates will have to score 50% to clear the exam. The syllabus of the Entrance exam shall be comprised of 50% of the research methodology and 50% from the subject specific.
• After that, candidates will have to take interview/viva-voce which is compulsory for all the candidates. It will be organized by the department center when the applicants are required to discuss their research interest/area through a presentation before the Departmental Research Committee.

Admit card

VBRET Admit card will be issued after the successful submission of application form on time. Candidates can download the admit card from the university website by providing their login credentials in given fields. Admit card is an important document and must be produced at the time of the exam. It bears important details related exam such as candidate’s name, roll number, date and time for the test, venue of examination hall etc. Without a valid admit card, the entrance of candidates in the examination hall will not be allowed.

• Go through the official site @ visvabharati.ac.in
• Visva Bharati Santiniketan University’s home page will be opened on the screen.
• On the top of the home page Admission section will be shown.
• Then click on the Admissions and check for the VBRET Admit Card.
• Then click on the Admit Card link.
• Enter the details of Login ID and Password.
• And then click on the submit button.
• Download and have copies of print out along with you.

 VBRET Exam Pattern

All the appearing candidates need to go with the exam pattern for better preparation for the examination. The exam pattern details provided below.

• An Entrance Test which is to be qualified with qualifying marks of 50%.
• The syllabus of the Entrance Test consists of 50% of the research methodology, and 50% will be subject-specific.

VBRET Result 2024

The Visva Bharati Santiniketan University will declare the result on the official website, and those applicants have given the VBRET examination; they can check their results through online mode by visiting on the official website. The result will display to the candidates after submitting the application number and date of birth in the required field. As per the marks scored in the examination, candidates will be shortlisted in the merit list.
