Visva-Bharati is a central research university and an Institution of National Importance located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India. It was founded by Rabindranath Tagore who called it Visva-Bharati, which means the communion of the world with India. Until independence it was a college.  he government funded autonomous University has 10 sub- institutes under it. These institutes of higher education are renowned for excellence in their respective fields. The University offers numerable courses at certificate, graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. For taking admission into the university, the candidate has to fill up the application form. The university sets up eligibility criteria for all the undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD programmes. Design Candidates must have Graduation degree of 4-years securing 60% marks

MFA
55% marks/corresponding grade in B.F.A. or equivalent degree

MPED
Bachelor of Physical Education (B. P. Ed.)/ Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) in Health and Physical Education with 50% marks

MAE
B.A. ( Hons/Major ) in Education with at least 50 % marks for General category candidates.

M.ed
50% marks in B.Ed or BA. B.Ed./ B.Sc. B.Ed

M Music
55% marks in three-year B.Music (Hons.)/ B.A. (Hons.) in Music Courses

MSW
Passed BSW(H) from any recognised University with 50% (45% marks for OBC and pass marks for SC, ST, PWD candidates)

B.ed
B.Sc/B.A./B.Mus ( Rabindra-Sangeet / Classical) Degree with 3-Year Honours/Major subject

B.Des
Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 60% marks in aggregate for general candidates and 54% marks in aggregate for OBC candidates.

55% marks in Higher Secondary/equivalent examination from any recognised Board or Institute

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 45% Marks from any recognised university

Candidate must have Passed in Class 10+2 or equivalent

45% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level and 40.5% marks in aggregate at 10+2 level for the SC/ST candidates

B.Sc. (H)
60% marks in aggregate along with Life Science/Biological Science at 10+ 2 level from any recognized board.

Visva Bharati University Application Form

• Students must submit an application online only except B.Ed. and M.Ed. course
• Admit cards (wherever applicable) is to be produced at the university website
• Applicants will have to report at least between one and a half hours before the beginning of the admission test
• The Admission Tests for the courses (wherever applicable) will be conducted in Santiniketan and Sriniketanby individual ministry
• Applicants are required to present their original final mark sheets of previous public examinations and other relevant documents along with the attested photocopies at the time of admission to various courses if this is not the case his/her candidature will not be taken into account admission.
