You can align or justify text or other content in Word in several ways including using keyboard shortcuts, selecting commands in the Ribbon, using the Paragraph dialog box or modifying a style. It’s important to note that alignment or justification is paragraph formatting so applies to entire paragraphs. To align or justify paragraphs using keyboard shortcuts:
- How to Align left – First of all you select the paragraph(s) and press Ctrl + L
- How to Align right – Firstly you select the paragraph(s) and press Ctrl + R
- How to Align center – First of all you select the paragraph(s) and press Ctrl + E
- How to Justify – First of all you select the paragraph(s) and press Ctrl + J to.
Insert a Horizontal Line From the Ribbon
1. Place your cursor where you want to insert the line.
2. Go to the Home tab and then click the dropdown arrow for the Borders option in the Paragraph group.
3. Select Horizontal Line from the menu.
4. To tweak the look of this horizontal line, double-click the line. The Format Horizontal Line dialog box enables you to modify the width, height, color, and alignment of the line.
5. select the line with a double click and then drag any of the resizing points
6. To remove the line, select it and press Delete on your keyboard.
