Restart Your Smartphone:

So, the first thing you should do if you encounter this problem is to restart your device. If it is only a temporary problem, then simply restarting the system will solve the problem. There have been multiple reports from users indicating that restarting the device fixes the issue where Google Play Services keeps halting.

Step 1: Firstly, press and hold the Power button.

Step 2: Then, choose Reboot/Restart.

Step 3: After the device has finished restarting, check to see if the issue still persists.

Checking the Internet connection:

The second thing you need to do if the problem message “google play services keep stopping 2018” is still appearing is to check to see if the internet connection is functioning appropriately. If you are currently connected with wifi, try connecting with mobile data, and vice versa if you are currently connected with mobile data.

Step 1: Firstly, to check the internet, open the web browser.

Step 2: Enter any URL you choose; if the page loads without any problems, that indicates that there are no problems with the network.

Step 3: If it still doesn’t work, switch the network settings, and then open the play store.

Factory Resetting the Phone:

If nothing else helps, a factory reset may be your only option. If you’re having problems with your J7 Crown and Google Play, check out how to fix it here.

Step 1: Firstly, open Menu then tap on Settings.

Step 2: Then, select Backup and reset under System.

Step 3: Select Erase all data (factory reset)

Step 4: You will be given one more time to Erase all of the data; when prompted, hit the OK button.

Updating the System:

If you have any pending updates, this is probably the reason why you are seeing the “Google Play Services keeps halting 2017” error message. In order to immediately upgrade your system, follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Firstly, open Menu and tap on Settings.

Step 2: Then, go to About Phone.

Step 3: Here check for Updates, if there is no update proceed to the next method

Step 4: If there is an update available, you should install it. 5. After finishing the update, check to see if the issue still exists.

Clearing the Caches:

There is a possibility that temporary caches and files are the cause of the j7 issue that occurs when using Google Play Services. This file causes problems for the services that are currently executing. To delete everything from the cache, just follow the instructions.

Step 1: Firstly, open the Menu and tap on “Settings.”

Step 2: Navigate to the section labeled “Apps and alerts,” then press on it.

Step 3: Then, find the Google Play Services app on your device.

Step 4: After tapping the app, select Storage, and then delete the data and cache from the device.

Step 5: Once that is complete, repeat the previous instructions for the Google Play Store.

Step 6: Once done restart your device

Step 7: Check if the error appears again

Using Third-Party App Stores:

Nonetheless, if you’re in a hurry and need an app, you can always find one online and install it on your device. There are a large number of websites and app stores run by third parties that are able to deliver the most recent version of a program.
