How to Add a Device to Google Play Step by Step Solution

The Google Play Store gives you access to millions of apps and games you can download to your Android device. It also offers movies, books, and music, although not all of them are available in every country. All you need to get started is a Google account — you won’t be able to browse or download content if you don’t have one. Once you have that set up, here’s how to use the Play Store on any Android device.

You can add several Android devices to your Google account if you want to use your premium Google Play apps on all your devices without buying them again. Furthermore, you can manage all your devices using a single Google account. For example, you can track each device and erase it in case it gets stolen by using the Google Device Manager system. By using a single Google account, you ensure all your Android devices are always in sync.

How to Add a Device to Google Play

Note that you will need to set up a payment method if you want to purchase apps, books, movies or TV shows within your account and on selected devices. Without a payment method, you can only download free apps and games on any device. It’s really simple to add a device to Google Play. There are two ways you can do it. For the first method:

  • Go into your phone’s Settings.
  • Head to the Accounts section and select Add account > Google.
  • Sign in with your new device’s Gmail.
  • After you sign in, you will be prompted to add your device’s phone number, which you can skip and add later. Then
you need to agree to the Google terms.
  • And the next screen opens showing that your new device is set up. Since Google accounts are also Play Store
accounts automatically, it will sign you into the Play Store too.
