Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates between ages 17 to 21 years as on 1^st January 2024 are eligible to apply.
• Citizens of India, Subjects of Bhutan or Nepal; Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1^st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling; Persons of Indian Origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam
• Applicants should have completed their class 12^th or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% marks.

How to Apply for SCRA 2024?

• The candidates are needed to register for this exam via online mode.
• The online registration process starts in the month of October every year.
• The candidate is needed to visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsconline.nic.in. to register for this exam.
• They must enter their details and upload documents.
• Now they must submit the fee.
• All the candidates are to pay Rs 100 as their application fee
• The fee can be paid via Debit/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking in any SBI branch.
• SC/ST, PH and Female candidates are not required to pay the fee

UPSC SCRA 2024 Vacancy

UPSC SCRA is conducted for recruitment to the posts of Class I officers in Indian Railways Service of Mechanical Engineering. The total number of vacancies for posts offered through UPSC SCRA recruitment for the year 2024 is 42. Reservations will be applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates

Admit Card

• The SCRA 2024 admit card will be published in online mode on the official website of commission.
• Candidates should download the admit card, take its printout and carry it to the exam center.
• No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam in the absence of a valid admit card.
• Admit card mutilated or distorted in any manner will not be considered as valid.

Selection Process SCRA 2024:

The selection of candidates will be based on the three modes which are described below.

• Written exam – Written exam in two parts is held. Those who qualify the written exam are only allowed to take part in the next stage.
• Personality test or Interview – This is the 2^nd stage in the selection process.
• Document Verification respectively – After qualifying the 2^nd stage, the applicants are required to get their documents verified.

SCRA Examination Pattern 2024

SCRA Exam 2024 shall be in objective modes containing multiple choice type questions. Major sections are General Ability, Physical Sciences, and Mathematics respectively. The Examination will be conducted in two parts:

Part I contains –

• Paper I: General Ability Test (GK, English & Psychological Test): The total marks will be 200.
• Paper II: Physical Sciences (Physics & Chemistry): The total marks will be 200.
• Paper III: Mathematics: The total marks will be 200.
• Overall Marks: 600 Marks
• The exam duration will be 2 Hours for each paper.
